The things we want to show

New York-based artist Kim Young-sam achieves uniqueness in his photographs by substituting hearing impairment with a heightened level of visual sensitivity. He intertwines senses, emotions, and images through experiences in urban life to attain a unified self and transform fleeting moments in the city into art.

By observing the intersection of countless emotions in the footsteps of city dwellers, his work leaves an impression of coexistence with various individuals. Through his photographic works, he opens up opportunities to socially expand a unified self by connecting the emotions of the artist and the viewers.
